dragon head V.2 update

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with another post where today I have continued the second dragon head with adding more highlights around the horns and lower jaw and I also did some more detail around the eye  and I also did some more scales on the neck instead of the snout and yeah there is pretty much nothing left to say about this but I better get Caleb's comment because He is good at telling me what he thinks about it hehe

Dragon head v.2 update

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today we have the new dragon head and I decided to use a black ink pen for some of the details and even though this is not one yet it is looking good so yeah also sorry you can not really see some of the other stuff that well but do not judge me cause I do not have a 4k camera on this laptop so yeah please tell me what you think and before I forget it is time for a Caleb comment

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post and it is for Home economics where we are going healthy but you guys already know that and we did Fritata's but unfortunately I did not take a picture of them because I flaming forgot to so I decided to put a picture from google images on here and the great thing about this is you can make it from left overs of something you have already made so yeah you can see how that would Go and that is all I have to say about this and yeah also I have a quiz that i need to do so here it is

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post and you guys are probably getting sick of the dragon drawing posts so I am moving away from that to give you more drawings and this one is different because we did it in social studies and we had to do our own custom moko which is a maori face tattoo and for those who have seen enders game mazer rackam actually has one I think that I should mention Caleb's drawing to so yeah and I have to say something i learnt about them and that is that they would show the rank of some people and the same with chieftons

so yeah this is a good drawing of mine and every part is also meant to have a meaning but Icould not think of anything for any of the parts so yeah I figured that you guys should be the judge of it because why not and also I think that Caleb should give us another comment on this

Dragon update 2

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post and it is on the dragon head again and you guys are probably getting sick of it by now but hey this stuff takes time plus I only get ten minutes each period to do this so yeah you get the jst so yeah and even though you cant see it in the picture but the lower jaw has some shading around its scales and I did a bit of shading on the inside of the mouth and yeah anyway before I sign off I will let Caleb comment on this as usual anyway lets see what he has to say about this

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with another post where today I have done some more improvements with the horns and the scales so yeah here it is where yes even though it is light I pretty much have to do that because if I make a mistake then i can easily rub it out without any trace of it which makes it even betteralso the major thing that u can see is the scales on the top and bottom along with the pupil of the eye finally there and yeah oh and i almost forgot to get Caleb's opinion on this so here he is yet again

Dragon drawing update

Essay Writing

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today in English I have had to do an Essay on the Robert swindles novel Abomination because it was a book that the whole class had to read also I have had to do this Essay through the week and just now I have gone and did a little bit of last minute editing ya know and yeah you guys get the jst and also here is the essay that I did

Abomination Essay

Martha Dewhurst is the main character in the Robert Swindles novel, ‘Abomination’ Martha is a twelve year old in this novel but she is different from others because her life is controlled by her parents that are part of the religious group of the righteous who are different from society but the big twist in Martha's life is her family secret known as Abomination which makes her life even more miserable than it already is.

Martha also does not have a computer,cool clothes and no friends until Scott comes along who ends up being friends with the one no one expected because she gets bullied everyday of her life and most people do it to her.

I enjoyed reading about Martha and she helped me understand the definition of resilience and friendship

Martha’s life is definitely not a good one but when Scott comes along that is the turning point because he was being kind to her.It started through giving her his ruler to borrow where everyone else never gave her any of their gear to use or let her sit near them. They called her names like Ma and Raggedy Ann. I think that lending her the ruler was a game changer.

It was as if that one ruler was a friendship elixir and Martha & Scott were the ones to be in it’s range.

Another sign of them being friends was when Scott is being kicked around on the floor. Martha goes for a teacher who happens to be Mr Kilroy and everyone in the school knows you don’t want to get on his bad side.

After that Martha proved to be one of Scott’s newest friends because he has only been at the school for a few days which kind of reminds me of myself and my friend Caleb.because he helps me out sometimes like giving me feedback on some of my works of art and we are gonna start a you tube channel together so yeah we definitely are good friends.

Martha’s friendship grows so strong that Martha trusts Scott enough to tell him the family secret. Scott helps Martha by sending messages to Martha’s big sister Mary, who was on her own from the age of 16. Scott explains the whole story to Mary who arrives and gets both Martha and the so called Abomination away from their parents.Personally I think that their friendship was a good one because they helped each other out which is what friends do.

This Essay was about the friendship of Martha & Scott and how they broke through every obstacle in their friendship

and therefore she came with one of her friends Annette and gets both Martha and the so called Abomination whose real name was Jim at the age of 6 and was Mary's son.

How Māui brought fire to the world

and those questions are 

(1)What you thought of the story

I thought that for its time it would have been Aotearoa's(New Zealand)greatest achievement and yeah I really like how the main character liked to experiment because that means he had courage

(2)Explain why you thought

Because experimenting stuff like this shows both that you have the courage to do something that nobody else could and that you are a curious one kind of like a scientist

(3)Can you relate to any of the characters and how

No I can not because I just cant think of anything to relate to in this story and yeah you get me if you have gone through the same stuff i have

also here is the story of what i jst talked about

One evening, after eating a hearty meal, Māui lay beside his fire staring into the flames. He watched the flames flicker and dance and thought to himself, "I wonder where fire comes from."

Māui, being the curious person that he was, decided that he needed to find out. In the middle of the night, while everyone was sleeping, Māui went from village to village and extinguished all the fires until not a single fire burned in the world. He then went back to his whare and waited.

The next morning there was an uproar in the village.

"How can we cook our breakfast, there's no fire!" called a worried mother.

"How will we keep warm at night?" cried another.

"We can't possibly live without fire!" the villagers said to one another.

The people of the village were very frightened. They asked Taranga, who was their rangatira, to help solve the problem.

"Someone will have to go and see the great goddess, Mahuika, and ask her for fire," said Taranga.

None of the villagers were eager to meet Mahuika, they had all heard of the scorching mountain where she lived. So Māui offered to set out in search of Mahuika, secretly glad that his plan had worked.

"Be very careful," said Taranga. "Although you are a descendant of Mahuika she will not take kindly to you if you try and trick her."

"I'll find the great ancestress Mahuika and bring fire back to the world," Māui assured his mother.

Māui walked to the scorching mountain to the end of the earth following the instructions from his mother and found a huge mountain glowing red hot with heat. At the base of the mountain Māui saw a cave entrance. Before he entered, Māui whispered a special karakia to himself as protection from what lay beyond. But nothing could prepare Māui for what he saw when he entered the sacred mountain of Mahuika.

Mahuika, the goddess, rose up before him, fire burning from every pore of her body, her hair a mass of flames, her arms outstretched, and with only black holes where her eyes once were. She sniffed the air.

"Who is this mortal that dares to enter my dwelling?"

Māui gathered the courage to speak, "It is I, Māui, son of Taranga."

"Huh!" Yelled Mahuika. "Māui, the son of Taranga?"

"Yes the last born, Māui-tikitiki-a-Taranga."

"Well then, Māui-tikitiki-a-Taranga, welcome, welcome to the essence of the flame, welcome my grandchild."

Mahuika stepped closer to Māui, taking a deep sniff of his scent. Māui stood completely still, even though the flames from Mahuika's skin were unbearably hot.

"So... why do you come, Māui-tikitiki-a-Taranga?" Mahuika finally asked.

Māui said, "The fires of the world have been extinguished, I have come to ask you for fire." Mahuika listened carefully to Māui, and then she laughed. She pulled a fingernail from one of her burning fingers and gave it to him.

"Take this fire as a gift to your people. Honour this fire as you honour me."

So Māui left the house of Mahuika taking with him the fingernail of fire.

As Māui walked along the side of the road he thought to himself, "What if Mahuika had no fire left, then where would she get her fire from?"

Māui couldn't contain his curiosity. He quickly threw the fingernail into a stream and headed back to Mahuika's cave.

"I tripped and fell," said Māui. "Could I please have another?"

Mahuika was in a good mood. She hadn't spoken to someone in quite some time and she liked Māui. She gladly gave Māui another of her fingernails.

But Māui soon extinguished this fingernail as well and returned to Mahuika with another excuse.

"A fish splashed my flame as I was crossing the river," Māui said.

Mahuika provided another of her fingernails, not suspecting that she was being tricked.

This continued for most of the day until Mahuika had used all her fingernails and had even given up her toenails. When Māui returned to ask for another, Mahuika was furious. She knew Māui had been tricking her and threw the burning toenail to the ground.

Instantly Māui was surrounded by fire and chased from the cave.

Māui changed himself into a hawk and escaped to the sky, but the flames burned so high that they singed the underside of his wings, turning them a glowing red.

Māui dived towards a river, hoping to avoid the flames in the coolness of the water, but the immense heat made the water boil.

Māui was desperate. He called on his ancestor Tāwhirimātea for help. "Tāwhirimātea atua o ngā hau e whā, āwhinatia mai!"

Then, a mass of clouds gathered and a torrent of rain fell to put out the many fires. Mahuika's mountain of fire no longer burned hot.

Mahuika had lost much of her power, but still she was not giving up. She took her very last toenail and threw it at Māui in anger. The toenail of fire missed Māui and flew into the trees, planting itself in the Mahoe tree, the Tōtara, the Patete, the Pukatea, and the Kaikōmako trees. These trees cherished and held onto the fire of Mahuika, considering it a great gift.

When Māui returned to his village he didn't bring back fire as the villagers had expected. Instead he brought back dry wood from the Kaikōmako tree and showed them how to rub the dry sticks together forming friction which would eventually start a fire. The villagers were very happy to be able to cook their food once more and to have the warmth of their fires at night to comfort them.

Māui satisfied his curiosity in finding the origin of fire, although he very nearly paid the ultimate price in doing so. To this day the Kahu, the native hawk of Aotearoa, still retains the red singed feathers on the underside of its wings, a reminder of how close Māui was to death.

Holiday review

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I will be reviewing my time in the holidays in the past 2 weeks because my English teacher said that we had to and I hope you will enjoy

OK it is Friday and school ended on Thursday for the term and I am headed up to Blenheim for 4 days because we are there for the Omaka airshow where the days are set as day 1 driving to Blenheim day 2 watching the actual air show and day 3 going around picton for the time we were there and day 4
home sweet home.
So once we got to the airshow there were a whole bunch of planes on display which was cool cause I am mad into planes more specifically fighter jets just of the design and they look freaking awesome but we only got to see prop planes like ww2 super marine spitfires which I am also a fan of but I did get some merchandise like posters,wristbands and all that other stuff along with a new cap and yeah that was pretty much it other than getting to hop in a few planes.

after all that commotion a week later I went to watch the fate of the furious with Caleb who I will leave his comment down below and here it is    |
