Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I am in english where I have done an essay on the hang him up scene from The Power of One and this is the entire thing.Yes I know that it is a lot but for my explanation on the camera angles used in this one scene then you are gonna want to read this.

There are many examples of film techniques being used in this one scene from The power of one’s hang him up scene but there are more than a few that stand out over the others.
The use of low angle shots are primarily used with Jaapie Botha to establish his supremacy over P.K showing whereabouts P.K is in this dilemma. This can be seen after Jaapie kills/executes

P.K’s chicken where a low angle shot is used to establish his supremacy right before P.K pushes him over. This shot was used by the director to show us the fight that P.K  is in. This also shows us

that P.K is driven by his emotions as we get a close up of his face which shows us both fear and hatred in his eyes.

The impact that this scene creates is perfect for showing us who the enemy is for the story. The low angles used also shows us how much power Jaapie has over P.K, This use of low angles is used really

well in setting up where the characters allegiances ly.

Another example of film techniques used well in this scene also includes the use of low key lighting. An example of this is right after Jaapie gets slapped in the face you can only see one half of both

jaapies and P.K's faces which control the contrast between these two adversaries. The director's purpose for this is to show who our main characters are going to  be throughout the film because they are

the only ones that have had any character development so far in the film. The way that this created impact was by using it on our main characters and environment only showing us who we are looking out

for. This used with the low angles really helped to set the scene for the film as a whole.

Another technique used was the use of diegetic sound which in this case is the German martial music playing in the background. An example of this is when we see Jaapie get a knife tattoo of the Nazi

logo on his arm it shows us what he believes in. The director's purpose for this is to show us what kind of person Jaapie is and what he believes in and that he devotes himself to the wrong cause as we know

from history. The impact that one moment creates is not just “oh no” but it is really more of a“you gotta be kidding me” moment and it is pretty much the point in which P.K is gonna have a hard time from

now on. All of that shows us what has become of the antagonist in this film and what he has devoted himself to.

After all of that the low key lighting followed by the low angles & diegetic sound, it gives us a truly impactful scene demonstrated beautifully by John G Avildsen. This created impact causing the
audience to know who we should be rooting for and who we should be rooting against.

Anyway I think that about raps it up for today and I hope you guys enjoyed and I shall see you guys in the next post bye bye

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I am in art doing a self portrait and I guess this could technically be classed as a face reveal but I am not really sure.Anyway this is my beautiful face in graphite(sorry if you can not see it all that well)

this was primarily the first part of the task that was served to us because we had to do a woodcut on it later even though we used lino boards to do it.But nonetheless I got the same result as I would regardless of the material I was using.
The next part we had to do was to put ink on the cut and then make a print on paper which                                                                                       I did twice in red then purple because that                                                                                          was what was available
Anyway I hope you guys enjoyed this post and please be sure to leave a comment and share this with your family and friends and I will see you all in the next post bye bye.

This app is the best you will ever find

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where me and my friends have developed an app for people getting into gaming which was my idea to begin with which we all built upon and turned into a reality.
The way we came up with this idea is from using a program called padlet which we all posted ideas and then voted on who's we should do.In the end it was the idea of an app to help people get into gaming that we decided to build upon.

Using padlet again we put up ideas of what we should add to the app like terminology ,platforms , helpful tips e,t,c.Once that was done we got to work on actually developing the app which went pretty smooth thanks to the program known as code.org.

Our latest page we went making was stereotypes of Gamers which went well and there might be a few updates to it here and there but we will be good until then.

Reflection
Overall this project went really well and it was enjoyable for the most part and was an interesting experience.Personally I did learn a whole bunch of stuff while doing ths related to coding through the hour of code tutorial produced by code.org and personally we could have done better in some aspects of it but overall I think everyone did their part well and I hope we get to do something like this again.
Also for all of you guys to know, the rolls we had were Caleb/primary coder & bossman69,Me/Ideaman,Rosa/secretary & page writer,Nivvy/moral support.I personally liked my position and I would not mind doing it again despite someother teammate getting annoying at times.
The part that took the longest to do was the terminology section which is lit AF as they say but aside from a few cosmetic changes and other stuff then This is one the best d,t,e experiences I have ever had.

Also here is the mind map we did for the app you may remember from a few posts ago.

Also I have a question for all of you reading this and that is if you had an app idea would you actually create it?

Anyway I think that will be all today and I hope you guys enjoyed and I will see you guys in the next post bye bye
P,S did you spot the Ready Player One reference if you did say it in the comments
