Hey guys it is Casey back here yet again with yet another post where today it may be the last one of the year and I am in D.T.E today.Anyway my goal today is to say what both 3d printing and laser cutting are because that is what we have been doing these last few weeks.

3D printing
3d printing is taking a 3d model from your computer and through the use of a specially designed machine called a 3d printer and some filament create the object from the computer.This technology could revolutionize our way of life in a dramatic way because say if you brake a component of something then you can print a new one which can save you money.

Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is a technology used to cut materials for many different purposes but mostly for industrial use with the technology just recently rolling into schools all around the world.Laser cutting can also be used to engrave different materials with stuff like logos or full blown images of pretty much anything you can think of.This technology can help us in the future for building materials needing to be built and we could likely use it for building habitats on other planets which we are gonna be doing in a few decades.

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I am back in stone art with a final design for what I shall do with my big block and for those of you who know about my YouTube channel will recognize the design from my banner and intro.
The things it symbolizes lie in the three koru's which represents how many generations of year 13 there have been in the 43 year history of hornby high.

The second symbolism is with the Mangopore which is the U shape engulfing the central flame which symbolizes the following.Strength,.leadership,agility,tenacity,unrelenting determination,courage and wealth,all qualities of hornby high school.

Hey guys it is Casey back here yet again with another post where today I am in stone sculpting for our passion projects.

Basically this site here will give you everything you need to know about it.
I am gonna recap today's events and to start off we first got to begin sculpting a koru for an hour and then we changed to developing our idea for the second half of the day.
This is an image of my ideas.

Basically what I am gonna do is select one and them sculpt it and I have made my pick and that is the one in the middle bottom.And at the moment we are just refining the shape of our koru sculpt and taking it from a 2d shape into 3d.
That is all we have done at this point in time and I will update you guys next week

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I am in Art writing my reflection for dry point printing which is what we have been doing since the lino cut.Anyway for those of you who do not know how dry points work then allow me to explain.Basically what you do is draw a design onto paper and then once you are happy with it you grab a sheet of Plexiglas and then etch over it like you would when tracing.After that you then lay ink over it then remove all the ink not in any gauges then you take paper and lay it in water for a few minutes.
once the paper is ready to go you then take it and your print into a press and press the two together then remove it and you are finally done.Honestly after doing this I actually really enjoyed doing this and I would be happy doing this again and that is something coming from me because I actually did three of these.

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I am in math again with the final geometry task I need to do.The purpose of this one is to construct and describe simple Loci witch in geometry is a set of all points,whose location satisfies or is determined by one or more specified conditions.
My example of this is my map That i made and the rule I have set is that any grid space 2 blocks from the centre of the walled city is that citys land as you can see by the shaded area around the walled city.All of this fits into the categorie of the spatial intellegience of this geometry task and yeah that is pretty much it and also sorry if you can not really see it all that well.

Hey guys it is Casey back here again with yet another post where today I am in Maths with another geometry task and this the second to last one(Yay).Anyway the idea of this one is to apply trigonometric ratios and Pythagoras theorem in two dimensions and it is for the interpersonal intelligence problem.
So to explain this I simply made a quick little drawing to put the problem into practice which you can see down below

This is a quick little guide to the pythagorean theorem for the long and short side of a right angle triangle.

These equations help figure out what x is and this is good if you are measuring say how long of a rope you need to connect those 2 points together₂

= 16+9

= 25   .

= ]25 = 5

answer = 5
